LS Global specializes in optimizing business operations worldwide through expert outsourcing. We are currently recruiting for one of our clients for a Sales Audit Clerk position. This role is responsible for auditing daily sales transactions, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and reconciling various payment types across stores and sales channels. This role serves as a key point of contact for sales audit activities, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with internal teams to maintain strong internal controls and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and reconcile daily sales, cash, credit card, gift card, and other tender activity from stores and sales channels to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.
• Audit point-of-sale (POS) transactions and supporting documentation to identify discrepancies, unusual activity, or exceptions requiring further investigation.
• Research and resolve sales, cash, tender, and register variances by partnering with Store Operations, Accounting, and Loss Prevention teams.
• Monitor daily transaction feeds and interfaces between store systems and financial systems, identifying and escalating processing issues as needed.
• Validate the accuracy and completeness of sales data posted to the general ledger and supporting subledgers.
• Perform account reconciliations, prepare audit schedules, and maintain supporting documentation in accordance with department policies and internal control requirements.
• Assist with month-end close processes by preparing sales audit reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Track unresolved exceptions and follow through to timely resolution while maintaining appropriate documentation and audit trails.
• Identify opportunities to improve audit procedures, reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audit requests and perform other accounting, reporting, and special project responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, sales audit, cash reconciliation, retail finance, or related experience preferred.
• Experience in retail, multi-location, or high-volume transaction environments, as well as proficiency in point-of-sale systems, cash management, or financial reconciliations.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP, accounting, and retail point-of-sale systems preferred.
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines while working independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent comm communication skills(English C1 proficiency)
