Job Summary**
Lumentum International (Thailand) Co. Ltd. is seeking a talented Test Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust test automation solutions for our cutting-edge optical and photonic products. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our hardware throughout its lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and implement automated test software for new product introduction (NPI), primarily using VB.NET, C#, Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
* Develop and maintain test frameworks, libraries, and tools to streamline the test development process and improve efficiency.
* Collaborate closely with other development engineers in Ottawa and Shenzhen.
* Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
* Perform software verification and validation, including unit testing, integration testing, and system-level testing.
* Participate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards.
* Continuously research and evaluate new test technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance test capabilities.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
* 2+ years of experience in test software development, preferably in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
* Strong programming skills in VB.NET, C#, Python, SQL, etc.
* Additional skill set on AI tool is a plus.
* Experience with test equipment automation and instrument control
* Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., SCADA, PLC, GPIB, USB, Ethernet, RS-232).
* Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
* Knowledge of optical and photonic components, systems, or test methodologies is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
* Require written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
