Macquarie Group is an Australian financial services company founded in 1969 as the local arm of the British merchant bank Hill Samuel, which became independent and took its present name in 1985. It is best known for effectively inventing modern infrastructure investing, buying and managing airports, toll roads, utilities and energy assets on behalf of institutional investors, a model widely copied and sometimes criticised. Asset management is now its largest division, alongside advisory and principal investment through Macquarie Capital, commodities and markets trading, and a domestic Australian retail bank, and it has become one of the world's largest investors in renewable energy.

As a Data Quality Analyst, you will play a key role in strengthening and enhancing data quality across Macquarie's Banking and Financial Services business. Working closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and engineers, you will translate business requirements into effective data quality rules and controls, ensuring critical data is accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose.

You will partner with stakeholders to assess the impact and feasibility of data quality enhancements, support the prioritisation and delivery of improvements, and help identify and resolve complex data issues through detailed root cause analysis. You will also contribute to testing and validation activities, ensuring new and updated data quality controls, monitoring solutions, and reporting tools are successfully implemented before release. In addition, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging automation and advanced AI-enabled tools to monitor data quality at scale, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency. You will maintain clear documentation of data quality rules, data lineage, and business requirements, supporting strong data governance practices and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
