Job Responsibilities:

About the Role

Magna Powertrain is seeking aSenior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions across our manufacturing and engineering operations. This role will play a critical part in driving digital transformation initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and enabling smart factory capabilities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, IT, and engineering to deliver scalable AI-driven solutions that create measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deployAI/ML models for manufacturing optimization, predictive maintenance, and quality analytics

• Lead end-to-end AI solution lifecycle: data acquisition, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identifyautomation and optimization opportunities

• Build and maintaindata pipelines and scalable AI architectures

• Apply advanced techniques incomputer vision, NLP, and time-series analysis for industrial use cases

• Mentor junior engineers and promotebest practices in AI development

• Ensure solutions align with Magna’sdigital transformation and Industry 4.0 strategy

Minimum Qualifications

 Bachelor’sormaster’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

 5+ years of experience inAI/ML developmentin industrial or enterprise environments including 3rdpart systems integration

 Strongprogramming skills in Python and experience with AI frameworks (TensorFlow,PyTorch, etc.)

 Experienceworking with RDBMS and NoSQL database systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)

 Experiencewith data engineering(Databricks, Microsoft Fabric), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and deployment pipelines

 Solidunderstanding ofstatistical modeling and machine learning algorithms

 Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban,SAFe)

 Fluentin Spanish (mandatory) and professional working proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in theautomotive or manufacturing industry

• Knowledge ofIndustry 4.0 technologies, IoT, and smart factories

• Hands-on experience with computer vision (e.g., defect detection)

• Familiarity withMLOpspractices and model lifecycle management
