[Remote] Senior Devops Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mainz Brady Group is seeking an Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, production reliability, monitoring, and security. The role focuses on SRE, cloud networking, infrastructure automation, troubleshooting, and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure and supporting services
• Support SRE initiatives , focusing on system reliability, performance, monitoring, and operational efficiency
• Configure, tune, and optimize application performance monitoring (APM), logging, and observability systems
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
• Use Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and maintenance
• Support cloud networking , connectivity, and infrastructure security
• Implement defense-in-depth security principles and contribute to DevSecOps best practices
• Monitor Kubernetes environments and support the infrastructure services surrounding containerized applications
• Independently manage assigned tickets, prioritize work, and drive tasks through completion
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Development teams to improve infrastructure reliability and automation
• Identify opportunities to improve existing infrastructure processes, monitoring, and security controls

Skills

• 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud networking with GCP preferred
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Ansible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
• Experience supporting production systems, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with APM and observability tools, including configuring or tuning monitoring systems
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and defense-in-depth security practices
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes, particularly monitoring and supporting containerized environments
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned work, and consistently deliver results
• GCP preferred
• Experience working in SaaS or cloud-native environments
• Experience with GCP or other major cloud platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
• Experience improving monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
• Knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
• Experience implementing infrastructure security improvements and DevSecOps best practices
• Background working in a startup or smaller engineering team where engineers take ownership of multiple infrastructure responsibilities
