Social Media Manager
Maker Lab supports clients across technology, entertainment, financial services and the payments industry. We’re looking for dynamic individuals to join our team and support our amazing clients in the music and entertainment industry.
We are looking for a Social Media Manager who thrives at the intersection of creative content strategy, real-time cultural intelligence, and performance analytics. You will join a high-impact team supporting a diverse portfolio of product areas across an enterprise brand environment architecting content that resonates with audiences, drives platform-native engagement, and surfaces the right cultural moments at the right time.
Role:
Social Content & Production Leadership
- Oversee and execute high-velocity, platform-first social content strategies across primary channels including Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms.
- Architect and maintain a rolling 30-60-90 day content roadmap that balances brand objectives, campaign priorities, and real-time cultural opportunities.
- Instinctive pulse on internet culture from emerging formats and creator trends to platform shifts and viral moments and you know how to translate that awareness into brand-relevant content strategy.
- Partner with creative directors, copywriters, and video production teams to ensure all assets meet rigorous platform best practices, brand standards, and delivery milestones.
- Lead end-to-end publishing workflows from brief to asset delivery to live post including crafting platform-optimised copy, captions, hashtag strategies, and metadata.
- Own the content calendar across multiple concurrent product workstreams, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks across complex, multi-stakeholder approval chains.
Community & Culture Listening
- Monitor real-time cultural trends, social platform feature rollouts, and audience sentiment to surface strategic real-time content opportunities before they peak.
- Act as the strategic cultural ear for the team scanning platform trends, creator ecosystems, viral formats, and cultural conversations to identify moments the brand can authentically own.
- Translate community signals comments, DMs, sentiment shifts, and audience feedback into actionable creative insights for the wider content and strategy team.
- Foster a high-loyalty community environment by acting as the strategic voice in brand interactions, ensuring every touchpoint builds long-term audience trust and resonance.
- Stay ahead of algorithm shifts, social platform feature releases, and format innovations to ensure the content strategy is always platform-native and forward-looking.
Analytics & Performance Intelligence
- Utilise native social analytics tools (Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, LinkedIn Analytics) and third-party platforms to track engagement, reach, audience growth, and campaign performance.
- Conduct regular deep-dives into performance data synthesising metrics into clear, narrative-driven reports that translate raw numbers into strategic recommendations.
- Lead A/B testing frameworks for content formats, copy variations, posting times, and creative approaches documenting learnings and iterating rapidly.
- Identify performance trends and audience behaviour patterns to inform both short-term content pivots and long-term strategy evolution.
- Present performance intelligence clearly to stakeholders - distilling complexity into actionable, decision-ready insights.
End-to-End Project Management
- Own campaign timelines, asset delivery pipelines, stakeholder approvals, and content calendars across multiple concurrent product workstreams simultaneously.
- Manage complex corporate approval frameworks across internal creative teams, client POCs, legal, and regional stakeholders - keeping all parties aligned and timelines on track.
- Build and maintain clear project documentation - briefs, trackers, status updates, and post-campaign reviews - that the full team can navigate independently.
- Proactively flag risks, blockers, and timeline conflicts early - never letting a dependency become a surprise.
- Partner closely with creative directors, copywriters, performance marketers, and regional product teams to ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment.
You:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-8 years of dedicated experience managing end-to-end social workflows within a leading agency environment or an enterprise-scale global brand.
- Proven track record of balancing creative content development and management with rigorous project management, performance analytics, and stakeholder coordination.
- Deep understanding of platform-native content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X, and emerging channels and the nuances that make content perform differently on each.
- Strong cultural antennae: you actively follow trends, creator culture, and platform developments, and you know how to translate cultural moments into brand-relevant content opportunities.
- Hands-on experience with social analytics platforms and native channel analytics tools, with the ability to translate data into clear narrative recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders across varied product lines, tight deadlines, and complex corporate approval frameworks without losing quality or momentum.
- Experience leading A/B testing frameworks and using performance data to drive rapid content iteration.
- A proactive, solutions-first mindset to identify problems before they become blockers and bring recommendations, not just issues.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
