Director, Agency Program Management and Recruitment

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manulife Pro Program Management (40%)

• Ownership and responsibility for the full end-to-end delivery of the Manulife Pro program.
• Work with Program Managers in the team to champion the program deployment to front line (including collaboration with Agency Training and Agency Business Management teams).
• Work with Program Managers in the team to deliver all financial and non-financial benefits which are part of the program, including any phased enhancements and optimization over time. This will include working with leaders from other departments as well as from Manulife regional teams.
• Own all performance management and reporting relating to the program, and use cohort management approach and practices to drive Manulife Pro MAPA KPIs.

2. Agency Recruitment Management (40%)

• Project Management: Articulate in writing a plan with deliverable, timelines and a formal tracking process. Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top performers for senior-level openings.
• Provide Recruitment support.
• Partner with RH/ABM to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage stakeholders’ expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.
• Possess strong ability to screen, interview candidates within the framework of the position specifications and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
• Be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment cycle: from interview and screening; to selection, compensation proposal, offer and on-boarding in an efficient and professional.
• Consistently and proactively communicate throughout the recruitment process to ensure all participants in the hiring process are updated and well informed.
• Continuously review current process, identify gaps, and propose recommendations to streamlines workflows. cate with applicants by sending notifications, acknowledgement letters.

3. MDRT and Other Programs (20%)

• Be responsibility for our Agency MDRT program, MBA program, and any other programs which may be launched from time to time.
• To support the effective operationalization of Agency Programs, this role will also need to work with cross-functional departments to ensure overall program alignment. (For example, analysis and deployment of 13M persistency metrics, codification of required program metrics such as FYP, risk analysis for underwriting limits etc.)
• Conduct and provide presentations and updates to senior executive management team and regional teams on overall program progress and metrics, including recommendations and business cases where necessary. Overall team management of the Agency Program Management team.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is a minimum. Master’s degree will be favorable.
• At least 8 years of fulltime work experience, with demonstrable experience in delivering high profile projects/programs for the company.
• At least 3 years of experience leading a team of 3 people or more.
• Project consultancy and management consultancy. Experience is a plus. Prior P&L ownership and/or business unit ownership is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced level in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
• Should have basic knowledge level in data analytics, including some basic level of database coding (e.g., SQL), and front-end data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI).
• Strong in senior stakeholder management and working collaboratively across departments.
• Work across all functions in MVL, including local and regional teams.
