We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Data Governance Engineer to join our Global Data Governance Technology team. This hands-on role combines full-stack application development, data engineering, AI engineering, and cloud platform integration to deliver scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions supporting data quality, lineage, access governance, metadata management, data discovery, and regulatory compliance.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of full-stack data governance products and self-service capabilities on Azure and Databricks.
- Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations using Python, FastAPI, Azure services, Informatica, ServiceNow, Microsoft Graph, and other enterprise platforms.
- Build modern front-end applications, governance portals, workflow solutions, and dashboards using ReactJS, TypeScript, data visualization frameworks, and Power BI.
- Design and implement metadata management, data lineage, data quality, access governance, and workflow automation solutions.
- Develop AI-powered capabilities using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, RAG, vector search, prompt engineering, and agent-based workflows.
- Integrate Databricks Unity Catalog, Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow to support governed data processing and AI/ML use cases.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, application security, monitoring, and DevOps best practices using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Git.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full-stack application development and Azure cloud engineering experience.
- 3+ years of Databricks experience, including Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog.
- Strong Python development skills with FastAPI (or similar frameworks) and REST API design.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services, including Web Apps, Functions, Key Vault, Cosmos DB, Azure AI Services, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience building data-intensive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, ReactJS, TypeScript, and modern data visualization frameworks, with strong focus on user experience, performance, and data storytelling.
- Experience developing AI-powered solutions using Azure OpenAI, RAG, vector search, prompt engineering, and agent workflows.
- Experience with Informatica IDMC (CDGC, CDQ, CDP, CDI), CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to translate business and governance needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering, architecture, security, data governance, product, and business teams.
- Ability to mentor engineers, contribute to engineering standards, and drive high-quality delivery through code reviews, design reviews, and technical leadership.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Extensive experience with Informatica IDMC, including data integration, data quality, data profiling, metadata management, governance catalog, operational monitoring, ClAIre AI and lineage capabilities.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in a federated data governance model across global organizations.
