It sells life and health insurance, annuities and retirement products in Canada, the United States under the John Hancock brand and across a dozen Asian markets, and runs Manulife Investment Management as a global asset manager for institutional and retail clients. Headquartered in Toronto and listed in Toronto, New York and Hong Kong, it earns a growing share of its profit in Asia and has been reducing its exposure to legacy long-term care liabilities through reinsurance transactions.

  • Perform daily operational controls and reconciliations to ensure data integrity and completeness.

  • Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies and operational exceptions promptly.

  • Monitor outstanding cases and follow up with relevant parties to ensure timely closure.

  • Prepare operational reports, management information, and regulatory submissions.

  • Maintain proper records and supporting documentation in accordance with regulatory retention requirements.

  • Attend to operational enquiries from internal stakeholders, distributors, agents, branches, institutional clients, and service providers.

  • Liaise with transfer agents, fund managers, trustees, banks, and custodians on operational matters.

  • Provide guidance and support on operational procedures, documentation requirements, and service-related matters.

  • Ensure prompt resolution of issues while maintaining excellent service standards.

  • Ensure compliance with Securities Commission (SC) guidelines, EPF requirements, AML/CFT regulations, FATCA/CRS obligations, and internal policies.

  • Perform reviews and checks on account opening documentation and investor information.

  • Escalate operational risks, control gaps, and potential compliance breaches to management on a timely basis.

  • Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting exercises.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in unit trust, wealth management, operations, or related financial services.

  • Understanding of investment products, including Unit Trust and Private Retirement Scheme (PRS).

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements issued by Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), EPF, and AML/CFT guidelines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience with transfer agency platforms and wealth management systems is preferred.
