Job Summary

• We are seeking a commercially driven, hands-on and results-oriented General Manager to oversee business operations, drive market growth, and ensure the successful execution of business objectives.
• The successful candidate will take ownership of daily operations, build and lead a high-performing team, develop new business opportunities, manage client and strategic partner relationships, and drive measurable business results.
• This role requires a proactive business leader with strong commercial judgement, excellent leadership abilities and the confidence to represent the organisation in client meetings, presentations and business negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations and ensure efficient execution of business objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, market expansion and profitability.
• Build, manage and motivate teams, setting clear targets and ensuring accountability.
• Identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships and expand the customer base.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and key stakeholders.
• Lead business meetings, presentations, negotiations and client engagements.
• Monitor budgets, revenue, expenses and operational performance.
• Establish and improve business processes, systems and operational procedures.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Track business performance using relevant KPIs and prepare periodic management reports.
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve business performance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years' relevant experience in commercial management, business operations, sales or business development.
• At least 2 years' experience in a managerial or team leadership position.
• Demonstrable experience in driving business growth and managing operational activities.
• Strong commercial awareness, business development and negotiation skills.
• Excellent leadership, people management and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Good understanding of financial management, budgeting, performance reporting and business KPIs.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Highly proactive, resourceful, organised and comfortable working in a growth-oriented environment.
• Experience working with digital platforms, fintech products or technology-enabled services.
• Experience developing new markets, managing strategic partnerships and growing customer relationships.
