Job Overview
The Mechanical Engineer 1 designs, fabricates, develops, and tests solutions to improve reliability, capability, throughput, and the safety of production equipment, jigs/fixtures, workstations, and material handling equipment. The Mechanical Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.
Highlights of your role
- Support Maintenance to identify, problem solve, and resolve issues in production equipment.
- Design, fabricate, develop, and test jigs/fixtures, material handling equipment, and production workstations.
- Collaborate with plant personnel to gather insights, diagnose issues, and determine root causes of equipment challenges
- Assist with equipment retrofits.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with daily issues.
- Maintain drawing accuracy and folder structure format.
- Develop bill of materials and procure necessary materials.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement activities within production and business processes.
- Assist in analyzing, identifying, and resolving production line problems and lead problem solving groups.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and materials
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated, strong written and oral communication required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
