Join our Decision Management program as a Senior Software Engineer in Vancouver. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing application logic in Java, writing code for testing, and managing your own time while collaborating with teammates. You'll also lead customer impact incidents and work with stakeholders to achieve project commitments. Strong programming skills in Java, experience with high performance applications, and knowledge of SQL are required.

Missions

  • Design and implement application logic in Java, including writing code for unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing.
  • Mentor the team while staying hands-on, applying best development practices to write well-designed, maintainable, testable, scalable, and secure code.
  • Lead customer impact incidents, post-mortems, and immediate actions to prevent future issues, while collaborating with stakeholders and platform teams.

Profil recherché

- Good problem diagnostic and creative problem solving skills

- Strong data analysis skills

- Good knowledge of unit testing and mocking frameworks like junit, mockito or easymock

- Strong programming skills with deep knowledge of Java

- Excellent knowledge of Spring and other frameworks

- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks within the constraints and timelines determined by business needs

- Experience working with high performance applications

- Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with Oracle

- Experience with testing frameworks like Rest Assure, Selenium with web driver etc

- Experience with IBM ILOG/ODM and Pivotal Gemfire Grid

- Experience with Linux Servers, Dockers, Kubernetes etc

- Experience with Splunk

- BS in computer science or a related field preferred

- Experience with complex SQL operations
