SAP S/4HANA Development Lead

Matrix Eastern Europe, the offshore division of Matrix IT, one of the leading global R&D services companies with more than 11,000 professionals, is looking for a SAP ECC HCM Support Consultant to join one of our teams!

We are seeking an experienced SAP ECC HCM Support Consultant to provide functional support, maintenance, and enhancements across our SAP ECC HCM landscape.

The role covers a broad range of SAP HCM processes, including Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, ESS/MSS, integrations, and ongoing application support. While the consultant will be involved in all HCM-related activities, strong expertise in Time Management and Time Evaluation is a mandatory requirement, as these areas represent a significant portion of the functional scope and support activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, resolve issues, support projects, and deliver high-quality solutions.

Zakres obowiązków

• Lead S4HANA development activities across enhancements, integrations, custom solutions, and strategic initiatives.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and architectural direction for development teams.
• Ensure development quality, maintainability, performance, and compliance with SAP best practices.
• Support future S/4HANA upgrades and transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Functional Leads, Architects, PMO, and IS teams.
• Drive innovation across the SAP development landscape.
• Evaluate and introduce modern SAP technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Promote adoption of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), automation solutions, and AI-assisted development capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, development quality, testing efficiency, and delivery speed.
• Establish modern engineering practices and Continuous Improvement culture.

Wymagania

• 5+ years of SAP development experience.
• Minimum 2 years leading SAP development teams or technical delivery teams.
• Proven hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA development.
• Strong background in end-to-end Build activities.
• Experience in manufacturing or process-industry environments.

Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge of ABAP core principles – modern ABAP syntax (7.6+), OO, enhancements SAP extensibility concepts. Etc.
• Excellent knowledge of performance optimization.
• Strong experience with ABAP on HANA: CDS Views, AMDP.
• Integration development experience.
• Application Development knowledge: RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), SAP Gateway, OData services, UI5.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP and cloud-based development approaches.
• Understanding Clean Core principles and modern SAP architecture.
