Role Overview

Join Maxinsights Corporation as a Data Operations/Computer Science Intern and gain hands-on experience applying computer science, programming, and data analysis skills to real-world business and client projects.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our engineering, operations, and business development teams to build and maintain data workflows, process and analyze datasets, support technical projects, and develop tools that improve internal operations and client deliverables.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related major looking to gain practical experience with programming, data processing, cloud technologies, and web development.

What You’ll Work On

• Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python or other programming languages to automate operational and data-related tasks.

• Retrieve, process, transform, and validate data for internal analysis and client projects.

• Work with engineering teams to prepare, render, and deliver data samples, analytics, and technical outputs.

• Write and modify code to support data pipelines, automation, reporting, and internal workflows.

• Assist with debugging and troubleshooting technical issues involving data, scripts, applications, and web-based tools.

• Use SQL and databases to query, organize, and analyze structured data.

• Support the development and maintenance of the company website, including implementing frontend or backend updates as needed.

• Assist with cloud-based infrastructure and services, including AWS, Cloudflare, or similar platforms.

• Research unfamiliar technologies, libraries, APIs, and development tools and apply them to assigned projects.

• Collaborate with operations, business development, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Document scripts, processes, technical workflows, and project requirements to improve team efficiency.

• Assist with other technical and operational projects as needed.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, writing code, working with data, and learning new technologies. You don’t need to know everything-we’re looking for someone who can take a problem, research a solution, and build something that works.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• Experience programming in at least one language, with Python strongly preferred.

• Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts such as:

  • Data structures and algorithms

  • Variables, functions, loops, and conditionals

  • Object-oriented programming

  • Debugging and error handling

  • Basic software development practices

• Familiarity with Git/version control and general software development workflows.

• Ability to read, understand, modify, and troubleshoot existing code.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to independently research unfamiliar technical concepts and learn new tools or technologies.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Strong Plus

• Experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Experience with AWS, Cloudflare, or other cloud platforms/services.

• Experience with Python libraries such as:

  • Pandas

  • NumPy

  • Matplotlib

  • OpenCV

  • Scikit-learn

• Experience working with APIs, JSON, REST services, or data pipelines.

• Knowledge of web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

• Experience with frameworks such as React, Next.js, Node.js, or similar.

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.

• Experience with data visualization, image processing, machine learning, or statistical analysis.

• Personal, academic, or open-source projects demonstrating programming or technical problem-solving experience.
