ABOUT THE ROLE

The Site Leader is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and day-to-day operations of the facility. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role provides direction across production, quality, engineering, planning, and materials while ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company objectives. As the senior on-site leader, the Site Leader is accountable for operational performance, customer delivery, workforce development, and continuous improvement, and driving site results through effective leadership, execution, and development of a high-performing team.

Tempest Aero Group is a growing manufacturing operation serving aerospace and industrial markets with highly engineered products and solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, visible leader who can effectively lead cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This individual will be responsible for developing the site teams, strengthening operational performance, and ensuring the organization is positioned to support long-term growth as part of the Victor Sierra Aviation platform under TransDigm ownership.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Serve as the senior on-site leader for the facility.
• Direct leadership of production, quality, planning, materials, engineering, maintenance, and facility operations.
• Lead site supervisors, leaders, and functional leaders to achieve operational objectives and business priorities.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement metrics.
• Partner with the Vice President of Operations on strategic planning, organizational development, capacity planning, and capital investment initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Operational Leadership

• Lead daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing activities.
• Establish operational priorities and allocate resources to meet customer and business requirements.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve operational effectiveness.
• Identify and remove barriers to performance through cross-functional collaboration and problem solving.
• Support execution of strategic initiatives, capital projects, and operational improvement efforts.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, leaders, and team members.
• Drive employee engagement, accountability, and leadership development throughout the organization.
• Support talent acquisition, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives.
• Ensure consistent application of company policies and performance management practices.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance

• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, quality systems, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts to address operational and quality concerns.

Continuous Improvement

• Champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize data and key performance indicators to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
• Lead efforts to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and delivery performance.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading supervisors, leaders, and cross-functional teams.
• Aerospace, aviation, industrial manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success driving operational performance and organizational improvement.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to lead through influence, collaboration, and accountability.
• Strong operational decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze operational data and translate findings into actionable business results.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
