A Day in the Life
The Stapling & Thoracic business is focused on advancing surgical outcomes through a portfolio of stapling technologies and solutions used across a broad range of procedures. The team works closely with regional and global stakeholders to define portfolio strategy, identify growth opportunities, and bring customer-focused innovations to market. This role sits within the Integrated Marketing function and is responsible for upstream marketing activities that support long-term portfolio growth, market development, and launch excellence across the region.This position is based in Warsaw, Poland and follows a Flex work model, combining office-based and remote working arrangements. No travel is required for this role.
The Principal Integrated Marketing Specialist leads the development and execution of upstream marketing strategies for the Stapling portfolio and Thoracic specialty. This role is responsible for translating market insights into portfolio strategies, supporting new product introductions, driving market development initiatives, and partnering with regional and global stakeholders to accelerate growth and adoption across the business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute portfolio strategies and integrated marketing plans aligned with regional growth objectives and market opportunities.
- Lead upstream marketing activities for the Stapling portfolio and Thoracic specialty, including market assessment, segmentation, positioning, and lifecycle management.
- Drive the planning and execution of new product launches in partnership with regional and global cross-functional teams.
- Analyse market trends, competitive activity, customer insights, and business performance data to inform portfolio decisions and prioritisation.
- Collaborate with sales, product management, clinical, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on portfolio strategy and execution.
- Create and manage customer-facing marketing materials, educational programmes, and campaign content that support business objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to gather insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Lead marketing activities associated with congresses, conferences, and other customer engagement events while measuring programme effectiveness and business impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of marketing, market development, product marketing, or portfolio management experience within healthcare, medical technology, life sciences, or a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing portfolio strategies and supporting successful product launches.
- Experience analysing market data and customer insights to develop commercial and marketing recommendations.
- Experience working across cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders within a matrix organisation.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to develop and deliver business presentations and marketing content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience within the medical device industry and understanding of surgical technologies, stapling solutions, or thoracic procedures.
- Experience leading regional or multi-country marketing initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience developing value propositions, market access strategies, or pricing strategies.
- Experience partnering with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and managing scientific or clinical engagement activities.
