A Day in the Life
The Research and Development (R&D) organization develops and supports software, systems, and processes that enable product innovation and lifecycle management. This role supports the administration, configuration, optimization, and integration of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platforms that drive requirements management, traceability, compliance, and collaboration across engineering functions in regulated product development environments.This position is based in Hyderabad, India and follows a Flex work arrangement. No travel is required.
As a Senior Enterprise Software Engineer, you will serve as a technical expert for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platforms, supporting the administration, configuration, optimization, and integration of Codebeamer to enable compliant and efficient product development processes. The role partners with engineering, quality, regulatory, and information technology teams to enhance traceability, reporting, workflows, and system integrations that support product lifecycle activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize the Codebeamer platform to ensure system reliability, data integrity, and availability.
- Configure and support ALM workflows, user permissions, roles, and process customizations to meet business and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain traceability, reporting, and data management solutions that support engineering and quality processes.
- Perform data migration, extraction, transformation, and integration activities between Codebeamer and enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with software, systems, quality, regulatory, and information technology teams to align ALM capabilities with product development processes.
- Support integration of Codebeamer with DevOps pipelines, test management platforms, and other engineering systems.
- Analyze ALM data and metrics to support project execution, compliance activities, and operational decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to applicable quality, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements governing product development data.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline with 8+ years of professional experience in enterprise software engineering, ALM platforms, or software lifecycle management solutions.
- Hands-on experience administering, configuring, and supporting Codebeamer in an enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, requirements management, traceability, and systems engineering workflows.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to support ALM processes within product development organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Polarion or other ALM platforms such as Jama, Jira, or IBM DOORS Next Generation (DOORS NG).
- Experience with SQL and relational database management systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience supporting regulated industries including medical device, automotive, aerospace, or similar industries.
- Knowledge of industry standards including IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485, or ISO 26262.
- Master's degree (M.E. or M.Tech.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
