Role Overview :
As a Senior Python Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-traffic backend services that serve as the backbone of our product offerings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and data scientists, to translate business requirements into efficient, scalable technical solutions.
Your work will directly influence the performance, reliability, and security of our platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for our end users while maintaining high standards of code quality and system architecture.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and implement scalable backend services using Python to support high-concurrency applications and improve overall system throughput.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs that facilitate seamless communication between frontend interfaces and core business logic.
- Optimize database performance and query efficiency using SQL to ensure rapid data retrieval and integrity across complex datasets.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to define technical roadmaps and mentor junior developers in adopting best practices for code reviews and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to minimize downtime and maintain the stability of critical business services.
- Integrate third-party services and internal microservices to enhance platform functionality and drive business value.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python with 5 - 8 years of hands-on experience in building production-grade applications.
- Deep expertise in web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI, with a proven ability to select the right tool for specific architectural needs.
- Strong command over SQL and relational database design, including performance tuning and schema optimization.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders within a collaborative team environment.
- Proven track record of working in an agile, fast-paced environment, with the adaptability to thrive in our Bangalore-based office setup.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on writing maintainable, testable, and efficient code that adheres to industry standards.
