Data Governance Specialist (French or Dutch)

We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. This role requires significant experience in data governance and data quality, with a deep understanding of frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks and policies.
• Ensure data quality standards and monitor data quality metrics.
• Collaborate with Data Management and IT teams to implement data methodologies and technologies.
• Document data governance processes and present findings to stakeholders.
• Manage metadata using tools such as Collibra, Informatica, and Ovaledge.
• Facilitate change management initiatives and build internal networks across departments.

Required qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data governance and data quality.
• Proficiency in French and/or Dutch, with English as an asset.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
• Experience with metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Ovaledge).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of NIS2 regulations.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC standards (ISO/IEC 38505, ISO 8000, GDPR).
• Experience with data modeling (UML) and data flow modeling (Archimate).
• Professional experience in regulated sectors such as finance, health, or public sector.
