Network Engineer, Mid-Senior Level

Mellon Technologies seeks to hire a Network Engineer, Mid-Senior Level

Responsibilities

• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, SDWAN). Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Monitor - performance and ensure system availability -system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Arranging scheduled upgrades, updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Investigating faults in the network
• Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access
• Research hardware and software solutions and create plans, including layouts and product specifications, for all data communication networks projects
• Secure all hardware and software required for network solutions or supervise network administrator tasked with securing all hardware and software

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Telecoms or equivalent field
• Minimum 5 years of experience on routing and switching with knowledge of Enterprise WAN and Data Center technologies
• Hands on experience on IP routing including TCP/IP and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SDWAN)
• Hands on experience in Cisco Switching, Cisco 2960, Cisco 9000 series and Cisco Nexus
• Certification in industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent Knowledge) will be considered as a plus
• Experience in network management and network monitoring tools
• Experience on architecture design of LAN/WAN and VoIP networks will be considered as a plus
• Hands on Experience on following vendor Firewalls FortiGate, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA , Cisco FTD, Sophos
• Experience working in a team within a complex and fast-paced environment
• Have good problem structuring and solving skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English
