Territory Sales Manager - Companion Animal
Permanent full-time role with competitive renumeration, benefits and tools of trade provided e.g. Car, Laptop, ipad etc.
Location & Territories Covered: Auckland, New Zealand

As a Territory Sales Manager - Companion Animal, you will be responsible for maximising sales across the company’s product range within a designated territory. You will develop and execute territory plans, build strong customer relationships and work closely with technical and sales teams to deliver business results.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
Territory Sales and Planning
Achieve sales targets and activity levels for assigned territory and products
Develop, implement and regularly review territory plans to support sales achievement
Analyse customer data to support territory, customer and pre-call planning
Identify and target high-value customers
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and clients, including veterinarians, vet nurses, store managers, field representatives, veterinary technicians and business managers
Leverage strong business relationships to deliver commercial results
Identify customer needs and clearly communicate how our company’s Animal Health products and services provide solutions
Articulate the value of our company’s Animal Health products versus other treatment options
Provide corporate sales presentations to consumer groups, customers and wholesalers as required
Sales Execution and Technical Support
Identify and participate in promotional tactics to maximise sales
Utilise the technical services team to support delivery of technical messaging and drive sales
Provide technical and sales training to wholesalers and customers to ensure accurate messaging reaches the end user
Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including competitor products and broader animal health issues
Monitor competitor activity and develop action plans to respond within the territory
Keep the Regional Sales Manager / Sales Lead informed of competitor activity through regular reporting
CRM, Reporting and Compliance
Record customer interactions in CRM systems, such as MAXX, to inform next-call objectives and support a single view of the customer
Ensure product complaint investigations, pricing queries, compliance issues and follow-up requests are completed accurately and within required timelines
Ensure all business activity complies with relevant Acts, policies and procedures
Share knowledge, communicate effectively across sales and marketing teams, and contribute positively to team meetings and forums
What You Must Have
Tertiary business or science degree preferred
Demonstrated commercial success in a sales role essential
Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
High flexibility, resilience and problem-solving ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
Excellent organisational skills and responsiveness to customer needs
Ability to work collaboratively and inclusively with others
Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and comfort using technology such as iPads
Ability to make day-to-day decisions in line with normal business activities
Strong negotiation skills and an active interest in improving selling skills, including Action Selling and key account management principles
