Meta Platforms is an American technology company founded in 2004 as Facebook and renamed in 2021 to signal its investment in immersive computing. It operates the largest family of social and messaging applications in the world, comprising Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Threads, and earns almost all of its revenue from advertising sold against that audience. Headquartered in Menlo Park, California, the company also develops the open Llama language models and the Reality Labs division behind Quest headsets and Ray-Ban smart glasses.
Meta is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, curious compensation manager who will build and implement strategic, competitive, and data-driven equity and executive compensation solutions.

In this role, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence, driving the strategic direction for complex, high-impact initiatives while serving as a strategic advisor to cross-functional teams. Successful candidates will be execution-minded professionals who can think strategically, adapt quickly, and earn credibility and trust across all levels of the organization. You will demonstrate strategic agility - pivoting seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution - and can successfully execute in a high-velocity, deadline-driven environment where accountability and precision are paramount.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement market leading equity compensation strategies tailored for a hyper-competitive, AI-driven talent market. Deliver Meta’s annual equity and executive compensation cycles, using real-time data and insights to identify opportunities and guide strategy and implementation. Lead the design and governance of Meta’s executive compensation structures for base pay and ongoing equity, ensuring rates continue to attract and retain industry leading talent and reflect evolving market conditions. Conduct and review market research and benchmarking studies to ensure Meta’s executive and equity compensation programs remain at the forefront of industry best practices. Synthesize complex compensation metrics and global market trends into high-impact visualizations and narratives that drive alignment and streamline decision-making for senior leadership. Produce executive-level strategy materials (problem statements, options, analysis, recommendations), including materials for quarterly meetings with the Compensation, Nominating, and Governance Committee. Maintain a high level of operational excellence by personally leading the execution of complex grant cycles, ensuring exceptional accuracy in high-stakes executive deliverables. Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on executive and equity decisions across hiring, retention, promotions, and reorgs; create scalable decision frameworks for trade-offs. Manage frequent, time-sensitive escalations and drive alignment with cross-functional stakeholders across Meta’s business, the People Team, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams. Drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions that improve data quality, automate manual work, and accelerate decision-making across executive/equity comp. Evolve governance, tooling, and operating rhythms to enable faster, higher-confidence compensation decisions.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Economics, Business Administration or similar field 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, finance, analytics, or consulting, with some direct experience in Executive Compensation Direct experience managing and implementing various equity compensation vehicles, including RSUs and stock options Analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with model building, statistical analysis, and data visualization Mastery in data storytelling, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, high-impact narratives Experience influencing and partnering with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders Effective communication, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills Experience leveraging AI or advanced analytics tools to drive business outcomes Executive compensation consulting experience Tech industry experience Experience evaluating, implementing, or building AI-supported solutions for HR or compensation processes
