Meta Platforms is an American technology company founded in 2004 as Facebook and renamed in 2021 to signal its investment in immersive computing. It operates the largest family of social and messaging applications in the world, comprising Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Threads, and earns almost all of its revenue from advertising sold against that audience. Headquartered in Menlo Park, California, the company also develops the open Llama language models and the Reality Labs division behind Quest headsets and Ray-Ban smart glasses.
Meta's advertising products help millions of businesses of every size connect with the people who matter most to them. Our Monetization teams build the ranking, optimization, and bidding systems that decide which ads people see and help advertisers get the best results for their marketing goals.

As a Technical Program Manager in Monetization, you will partner with engineering, machine learning, product, data science, and go-to-market teams to deliver products that help advertisers optimize for the outcomes they care about most. You will own program plans, cross-team dependencies, and success measurement, connecting technical work to advertiser adoption and business impact.

Responsibilities

Drive complex, cross-organizational programs autonomously by creating program structures that establish clarity, accountability, and execution efficiency across multiple teams and pillars Translate technical strategy into structured program plans with clearly defined milestones, dependencies, trade-offs, and risk mitigation approaches Conduct deep technical assessments across multiple product areas, distill complex data insights into actionable recommendations, and influence technical decisions for large-scale initiatives Partner with organizational leaders to shape strategic direction, proactively integrating customer roadmap needs, product quality signals, and efficiency considerations into program strategy Establish and maintain detailed risk registers, develop quantitative risk evaluation methods, and build reporting dashboards to communicate program health to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership Define success metrics and goals that illuminate systemic problems, drive measurable improvements, and track program impact across teams Craft technically complex communications tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences, including organizational leaders, ensuring alignment and enabling effective decision-making Identify and resolve conflicts and alignment gaps across cross-functional teams, holding stakeholders accountable for program commitments and unblocking complex workstreams Contribute to the TPM community by mentoring other program managers, supporting hiring and onboarding, scaling best practices, and representing the TPM function in organization-wide forums Drive adoption of tools and workflows, including AI-powered solutions, to expand the quality, speed, and scope of program delivery across the organization

Qualifications

8+ years of experience driving and delivering complex technical programs or products from inception to delivery across multiple cross-functional teams and organizations Experience conducting in-depth technical assessments, evaluating complex system architectures, and providing technical recommendations that influence strategy across large-scale programs Experience developing program structures, risk mitigation processes, and communication strategies for cross-organizational programs spanning multiple teams and functions Experience communicating technical program status, risks, and decisions to organizational leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, tailoring content for both technical and non-technical audiences Experience using quantitative methods to evaluate program risks, define success metrics, and drive data-informed decisions across large-scale technical initiatives Experience with large-scale distributed systems or data-intensive products Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience applying AI tools to redesign program management workflows and drive measurable efficiency or quality improvements Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience building and scaling TPM community practices, including mentoring other program managers, contributing to hiring processes, and developing onboarding frameworks Experience with A/B testing and experiment-driven launch decisions Experience with machine learning programs, including experimentation, model development, or production ML launches Experience with online advertising systems, such as ads ranking, auctions and bidding, conversion optimization, or ads measurement Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Understanding of performance marketing concepts such as return on ad spend (ROAS), customer lifetime value, and conversion attribution Experience managing programs that span infrastructure, platform, or product domains at internet scale, with demonstrated ability to align diverse engineering and product organizations around shared goals
