Senior Technical Sales Engineer

We are currently looking for an Energy Data & Commercial Analyst to join our B2B team as part of our Fully Integrated Energy Utility Division, based in Paiania.

By joining this role, you will support the development of profitable energy solutions through customer portfolio analysis, energy market monitoring, financial modeling, and data-driven insights. You will work closely with Sales and other business teams to optimize customer offerings, support pricing and commercial decisions, and identify opportunities for portfolio growth and profitability.

Your role will encompass:

• Analyzing a large and diverse B2B energy customer portfolio, combining consumption, commercial, and energy market data to identify trends, cost drivers, risks, and commercial opportunities.
• Monitoring and analyzing wholesale energy markets, including electricity and natural gas prices, forward markets, and key market drivers.
• Developing analytical models to assess customer profitability, energy costs, pricing, and portfolio performance.
• Using Python and SQL to process, transform, analyze, and automate large-scale energy and customer datasets.
• Supporting Sales teams with data-driven analyses for major customers, new deals, and pricing decisions.
• Developing and implementing P&L analyses for major customers using Power BI.

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative field; a relevant Master’s degree is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in data analytics, energy analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role, with a good understanding of energy markets considered a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL for data analysis and automation.
• Good knowledge of Power BI and data visualization, combined with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience working with large datasets, data transformation, and analytical modelling, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights and work effectively across different teams.
