Project Title

Engineering Workflow Improvement and Data Analytics for Solid-State Drive Product Engineering

Project Description

As a System Product Engineering Intern, you will work on a structured engineering project focused on improving workflow efficiency, data analysis, and information management across solid-state drive product development and manufacturing. You will collaborate with product engineers, data engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to study existing engineering processes and develop practical digital solutions.

The internship will provide hands-on exposure to engineering data, automation, software development, and data visualization. Where relevant to the selected project, you may also explore AI-enabled tools for engineering information retrieval or data analysis.

Objective of the Project

• Study selected System Product Engineering workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop data analytics or automation solutions that improve the efficiency and consistency of engineering activities.
• Strengthen the availability and presentation of engineering information for technical review and decision-making.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the developed solution using appropriate project measures.

Project Scope

• Analyze selected engineering workflows involving failure analysis, test validation, data collection, reporting, or information retrieval.
• Develop data pipelines, scripts, dashboards, or other digital solutions using Python, Structured Query Language, Power BI, or related tools.
• Organize and visualize engineering data to enable efficient review of test results, product metrics, and technical findings.
• Work with engineering stakeholders to define project requirements, validate the proposed solution, and gather feedback.
• Document the solution and present the project approach, results, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

• Develop experience in engineering data analysis, workflow automation, and dashboard development.

Skillsets Required

• Experience with Python programming and familiarity with data analysis concepts.
• Knowledge of Structured Query Language, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data analytics and visualization tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with software development practices, version control, machine learning, or AI-enabled workflows would be advantageous.

Course of Interest

The ideal candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related engineering or technical field.

Duration of Period

The ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full time internship period of5 months.
