Department Overview

Our Munich engineering team develops mixed-signal and IO solutions for next-generation memory technologies. The group partners closely with global analog, digital, and product teams throughout the design and silicon lifecycle.

Role Overview

We are hiring an IO Design Architect todesignnewarchitecture, analysis, and validation of high-speed memory IO. This role combines hands-on circuit understanding with system-level thinking and close collaboration across multiple design teams.

Responsibilities

• Defineand own theIO and PHY concepts for high-speed memory interfaces

• Perform block-level simulation, analysis, and feasibility checks

• Review and guide schematic-level implementation to align with architectural intent

• Support verification, siliconbring-up, and debug activities

• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensureaccuratesystem integration

• Using AI automation and AI-based tools to improve modeling and analysis workflows

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability designing mixed-signalIO blocks, includingschematic design and simulation

• ProficiencywithSPICE or similar circuit simulation tools

• Hands-on experience withCadence or Synopsys schematic entry environments

• Ability to understand, model, and evaluate block-level behavior

• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Scripting skills (Python, TCL, SKILL, Perl or similar) for analysis or automation

• Familiarity with extraction and modeling tools

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional design teams in a semiconductor environment

The base salary range that Micron estimates it could pay in for this position full-time is:

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, the remuneration package also includes: eligibility for a variable plan subject to the personal achievement of objectives and the company's performance, and benefits, which -at the discretion of the company- currently include meal vouchers, corporate welfare, yearly allowance of remote working days, supplementary health insurance, life coverage, Employee Assistance Program.
