As a Chemistry Lab Technician, you will provide analyticaland equipment support for the Chemistry Lab. In addition, you will be expected to work on any scheduled shift work.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Adhere to all safety procedures in the Laboratory.
Work in a clean-room Fab facility and Chemical Laboratory environment
Follow the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) to analyze routine samples and report to internal customer
Use analytical techniques and instrumentation such as chromatography, spectroscopy, titration, particle sizing, volume measurement and weight measurement
Perform sample, standard and reagent preparation, such as vapor phase deposition (VPD), extraction, digestionand series dilution.
Responsible for monitoring and sustaining equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on assigned tools
Collaborate with area engineersto troubleshoot analytical issues and equipment issues
Participate in Total ProductiveMaintenance (TPM) activities, including 6S audit, housekeeping, maintainingstock of reagents, standards, spare partsand consumables
Keep the Chemistry Laboratory Manager updated on tool and area issues
Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Education:
Diploma in Applied Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical/Material/BiomedicalScience or Environmental Science/Eng is preferred orrelated field of study
Fresh diploma graduates or 1-2 years of working experience.
Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems and address root causes
Solid multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Proven ability to be a proactive problem solver
The ability to be flexible with job responsibilities and take the initiative to assume added responsibilities
Successfully demonstratedteamwork skills with a strong focus on effective team dynamics
Theoretical and/or operational knowledge of analytical equipment, such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS, GC/LC-MS, Titration, LPC, Assay, pH and conductivity, etc
Goodverbal and written communication skills
*Must be flexible to work 12 hour work shift and rotate day/night shifts as needed
