Microsoft is an American multinational technology corporation founded in 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen and headquartered in Redmond, Washington. It built the personal computing era around the Windows operating system and the Office productivity suite, and now generates the largest share of its revenue from Azure cloud infrastructure and commercial subscriptions. The company also owns GitHub, LinkedIn and the Xbox gaming business, and has invested heavily in artificial intelligence through its partnership with OpenAI and the Copilot assistants embedded across its products.
Overview

The Azure Supercomputing and AI Infrastructure Products (ASAP) organization is responsible for delivering the infrastructure foundation powering the next generation of AI. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to drive end-to-end capacity delivery across Microsoft's rapidly growing AI infrastructure portfolio, including strategic NeoCloud partnerships and large-scale GPU deployments.

This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, engineering execution, product strategy, and operational excellence. You will own complex infrastructure programs from planning and contract commitments through customer-ready capacity delivery, collaborating across engineering, supply chain, datacenter operations, networking, finance, and strategic partners.

The Principal Product Manager combines deep technical curiosity with rigor. They thrive in ambiguity, challenge conventional thinking, identify opportunities for transformation, and drive measurable business impact through both operational excellence and product innovation. In addition to delivering infrastructure at scale, this role will help shape the next generation of intelligent buildout systems by applying automation, AI, and agentic workflows to improve predictability, optimize human effort, and accelerate Dock-to-Live execution.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Own, Define, and drive the end-to-end strategy and execution for large-scale GPU and AI cluster buildouts, from capacity planning and infrastructure readiness through deployment, validation, and production handoff. Communicate program strategy, roadmap, progress, risk, tradeoffs, and recovery plans to senior Microsoft leaders and customer stakeholders through concise, data-driven narratives.
  • Lead delivery of supercomputer-class infrastructure for strategic customers, translating business and customer requirements into infrastructure plans, milestones, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with hardware and software engineering, capacity planning, supply chain, data center infrastructure, networking, operations, finance, and customer-facing teams to predictably deliver strategic capacity commitments.
  • Develop scalable processes, automation, telemetry, and deployment mechanisms that improve delivery predictability, deployment quality, and time to production.
  • Partner with senior leaders to frame complex technical and business tradeoffs, establish clear decision points, and drive timely resolution of critical issues.
  • Establish and maintain integrated execution plans, risk management mechanisms, milestone tracking, and operational review cadences.
  • Identify delivery bottlenecks, drive issue resolution, and accelerate execution across organizational boundaries.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and agentic workflows to infrastructure delivery processes.
  • Challenge existing assumptions and workflows, using data and customer outcomes to redefine how work gets done.
  • Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities to deliver outcomes that support Microsoft’s long-term AI infrastructure strategy. Communicate complex technical and business issues clearly to executive audiences.

    • Act as a force multiplier for the organization by identifying opportunities others miss and driving durable solutions.
