Together, we're shaping the future of business. As a Cloud & AI Solution Area Specialist, you'll be a solution sales specialist within our Cloud & AI Platforms organisation. You'll work with strategic enterprise customers alongside a V-team of account executives and technical, partner and consulting colleagues.

This role is based in Dublin, Ireland and offers a hybrid working arrangement in line with Microsoft's local workplace guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Customer Engagements: Act as the Cloud & AI sales lead, guiding customers through cloud transformation across infrastructure, data and AI platforms. Address business and technical needs through solution storytelling, and coordinate demonstrations, workshops and whiteboarding sessions with Solution Engineers and Cloud Solution Architects.
• Own Pipeline Growth and End-to-End Sales Execution: Manage the sales lifecycle from opportunity qualification through customer commitment, consumption and expansion. Manage forecast and pipeline carefully from early stage to close, using tools such as Industry Account Plans (IAP), Landing Experience Plans (LXP) and checklists to carry out territory planning and strategies and grow revenue.
• Orchestrate as One Microsoft: Partner with Account Executives, Solution Engineers, Cloud Solution Architects, services teams and partners to co-sell, move deals forward, clear blockers and support deployment, including through the Cloud & AI Marketplace.
• Accelerate Decisions: Engage decision-makers with clear business cases using the Cloud & AI Pricing Calculator, ROI and TCO tools. Scope proofs of concept and guide customers from commitment to consumption.
• Drive Cloud & AI Platform Growth and Expansion: Position Azure as a platform for transformation, identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and grow consumption by moving customers from pilots to scaled production.
• Market Positioning: Develop positioning strategies in relation to other cloud and AI providers, using market insights and the distinct value of Microsoft Cloud & AI capabilities.
• Inspire and Influence: Show technical fluency, business acumen and inclusive leadership across virtual teams and customer engagements. Influence decision-makers through business-value conversations and strategic storytelling, drawing on knowledge of virtualisation, cloud-native technologies, data modernisation and AI.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Experience in technology-related sales or solution sales in a software or technology company.
• Solution or services sales experience in Azure, Data, Application and Infrastructure.
• A proven track record of delivering against revenue targets.
• Experience working with complex enterprise customers.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field AND substantial technology-related sales or account management experience, OR equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure, data and AI application platforms, with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to business and IT stakeholders.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling business solutions to global customers, with a focus on Cloud Native, AI, or Data platforms and analytics.
• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field AND proven technology-related sales or account management experience, OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field AND extensive technology-related sales or account management experience, OR equivalent experience.
• Substantial solution or services sales experience.

Digital Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Ireland is € 62,200.00 - € 92,100.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
