Senior Software Engineer

You will provide technical leadership for complex solutions, apply AI-native technologies and modern software engineering practices, and partner across teams to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and high-quality experiences for our users and customers.

Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities:

• Own the design, development, deployment, operation, and evolution of complex products, platforms, services, and intelligent agents across Microsoft cloud platforms including Azure, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft 365.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust solution designs and make sound engineering trade-offs across scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, performance, and cost.
• Provide technical leadership for features and solution areas, driving design decisions and contributing to architecture direction and engineering patterns.
• Apply and advance AI-native and Agentic Software Engineering practices, automation, and AI-assisted SDLC capabilities to improve engineering productivity, quality, and delivery velocity.
• Partner with Product Management, partner engineering teams, Service Owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape technical solutions and deliver customer and business outcomes.
• Drive engineering quality through design and code reviews, testing, reusable patterns, technical standards, and systematic reduction of technical debt and defect patterns.
• Improve service reliability, observability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence through automation, telemetry, monitoring, testing, resiliency engineering, and proactive risk management.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex production incidents, performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and recurring operational problems.
• Use production telemetry, operational insights, customer feedback, and engineering data to guide technical decisions, prioritize improvements, and evolve product experiences.
• Champion secure, privacy-aware, accessible, compliant, and maintainable engineering practices throughout the product and service lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance, reviews, knowledge sharing, and adoption of modern engineering practices and emerging technologies.
• Identify opportunities for modernization, reuse, platform leverage, cost optimization, and engineering process improvements across solutions and teams.
• Work across team boundaries to resolve dependencies, influence technical outcomes, and deliver successful end-to-end solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• 9+ years of experience in software engineering, including design, development, deployment, operations, and lifecycle management of enterprise-grade applications and services.
• Good experience with modern software engineering practices, SDLC platforms, engineering toolchains, DevOps, DevSecOps, Open Source/InnerSource, and AI-assisted engineering.
• Hands-on experience applying Agentic Software Engineering capabilities across development, testing, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement workflows.
• Good technical expertise in one or more of the following technologies: .NET, SQL, Cosmos DB, Python, Azure CLI, PowerShell, YAML, Node.js, React.js, and cloud-native application architectures.
• Good experience building, deploying, operating, and evolving enterprise applications and services on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience designing intelligent, context-aware applications using Language Models (LLMs/SLMs), agent frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), or related agentic technologies.
• Ability to develop and review technical specifications, architecture diagrams, solution designs, data models, and infrastructure blueprints.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, database design, data modeling, API and service patterns, and cloud application architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to make technical design decisions that balance security, reliability, scalability, maintainability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and improve highly available, observable, reliable, and secure services.
• Ability to use customer insights, telemetry, operational metrics, and engineering data to drive technical decisions and quality improvements.
• good ownership and accountability for product and service quality, reliability, security, accessibility, compliance, and end-user experience.
• Good technical leadership, collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence technical outcomes across teams.
• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-204, AZ-400, AI-102, or equivalent Azure and AI certifications preferred.

Qualifications

Required / Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 9+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, deploying, and operating enterprise applications, platforms, or services.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, or Microsoft 365.
• Proven software development experience using technologies such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
• Experience designing and delivering secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable enterprise software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience providing technical leadership for complex features, services, or solution areas and influencing architecture and design decisions.
• Experience building AI-native solutions using LLMs, agentic frameworks, RAG, MCP, multi-agent patterns, or modern AI engineering practices.
• Experience applying Agentic Software Engineering, DevSecOps, platform engineering, and modern SDLC practices.
• Experience driving engineering quality, reliability, observability, technical debt reduction, and operational excellence improvements.
• Experience leveraging customer insights, telemetry, and operational data to improve product and engineering outcomes.
• Good influence, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills across engineering and product teams.
• Microsoft Azure and AI certifications (AZ-204, AZ-400, AI-102, or equivalent) are preferred.
