As a SeniorTechnical Program Manager you will lead the documentation and learning strategy for quantum developer experiences, using customer feedback, usage analytics, and responsible AI-assisted content generation to continuously improve quality and discoverability. You will ensure learning assets are planned and delivered alongside new product releases, and you will connect content investments to measurable outcomes in developer adoption, customer satisfaction, and product performance. You will influence priorities across teams, align stakeholders around shared goals, and invite others into a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making that improves how customers learn and build with quantum technologies.

Responsibilities

• Creates relationships and rhythm with internal teams and external partners to orchestrate end-to-end documentation and learning programs for the Microsoft Quantum software portfolio, coordinating processes for large and complex cross-functional programs and improving quality where feasible.
• Breaks down documentation and learning initiatives into projects and ongoing operations, generating and evaluating objectives and measures of success, tracking and coordinating schedules, and using automation and AI to optimize delivery and manage dependencies across products and services.
• Partners with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to collect performance and usage metrics for quantum documentation and learning experiences, leveraging telemetry, customer listening systems, and experiments to derive insights that improve content effectiveness and developer outcomes.
• Defines success criteria, key performance indicators, and telemetry needs for documentation and learning programs; collaborates across teams to ensure required data is available and uses it to inform prioritization, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Drives the customer supportability experience through high-quality documentation, troubleshooting guides, and best practices, monitoring how content is used, conducting root-cause analysis for learning or support gaps, and collaborating with support and product teams to improve the overall customer experience.

Qualifications

Basic/Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide either proof of their country of citizenship or proof of their U.S. permanent residency or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. • Experience working with AI-powered content creation and learning systems.
• Experience with developer platforms, cloud services, and AI.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.

• 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

• 2+ years of experience reading and/or writing code (for example, creating sample code, technical documentation, or product demonstrations).

• Demonstrated familiarity with technical writing principles, frameworks, and methodologies.

• Demonstrated familiarity with quantum computing, including quantum chemistry, quantum error correction, quantum algorithms, and emerging real-world quantum computing applications.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
