About the Role
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented External Sales Representative based in Durban. Partnering with Midvaal Recruitment on behalf of a leading automotive aftermarket supplier, this role is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, managing and expanding an allocated customer base, and delivering top-tier customer engagement and product solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management: Identify and prescribe products or services tailored to customer and market needs. Manage and grow allocated customer accounts.
Lead Generation & Conversion: Follow up on leads generated by Internal Sales and external sources, including new COD accounts.
Sales Administration: Accurately generate quotes, sales orders, and invoices, ensuring consistent follow-up.
Customer Visits & Relationship Building: Visit client sites regularly following a structured call cycle ( principle).
Product Knowledge & Training: Train customers on product applications and usage or coordinate in-house/supplier training sessions.
Market Expansion: Identify sales opportunities, suggest complementary product lines based on stock levels, and drive target achievement.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Grade 12 / Matric (Non-negotiable).
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Automotive Aftermarket or Parts Sales.
Wholesale / Retail Replacement Parts Sales experience preferred.
Essential motor industry experience with knowledge/experience in Automotive Mobile Air Conditioning preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
Technical aptitude and understanding of automotive air-conditioning components/systems.
Strong business acumen, product knowledge, and existing industry/customer networks.
Sound mathematical/numerical skills and excellent communication.
High customer service orientation.

Remuneration
R15 000 – R20 000 depending on experience (Commission based; Petrol card; Phone/data allowance; Company car)
Additional benefits for all permanent employees: 50% of main member Discovery Medical Aid & Pension Fund).
