Software Security Technical Delivery Lead

We are on a mission to transition from vendor-locked, high-cost platforms to a high-performance, open-source ecosystem built on GCP. Our environment is polyglot (Java, Python, Node.js, and React) and we need a hands-on Technical Delivery Lead with experience not only in delivery management but also in DevSecOps practices, security compliance, and scalable architecture.

In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery orchestration, ensuring security is baked into delivery pipelines, risks are assessed early, and open-source adoption is driven in a strategic, cost-effective manner.

Requirements

• Technical Orchestration: Translate business objectives into technical execution plans, identify architectural risks and manage technical debt.
• DevSecOps Leadership: Embed security-first standards into delivery, ensuring automation, compliance and risk mitigation at all stages.
• Operational Excellence: Manage daily engineering workflows-remove blockers, monitor sprint health, drive effective retrospectives and standups.
• Hands-on Support: Perform code reviews, debug Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), troubleshoot production issues when necessary.
• Open Source Advocacy: Assess and guide the replacement of proprietary systems with robust open-source solutions.

Benefits

• Strong engineering background: 10+ years in software development, with recent hands-on experience in at least two of: Java, Python, Node.js, Go.
• Expertise in GCP services: GKE, Cloud Run, Identity-Aware Proxy, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL).
• Proven track record in leading cross-functional squads (Frontend, Backend, SRE) using Agile methodologies.
• Stakeholder management: Handle dependencies across related initiatives while managing delivery priorities.
• Practical DevSecOps experience: managing secrets (KMS), implementing container security, compliance-as-code.
• Data-driven approach: Leveraging DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time for changes) for continuous improvement.

Nice to have:

• FinTech or Security background (operating in regulated environments).
• GCP cost optimization and capacity planning experience.
• Broad problem-solving mindset with holistic architecture vision.
