Operations Manager

Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directs and oversees a major segment of the organization's operations
• Has budgetary, P&L, or revenue responsibilities
• Manages a team of Operations or professionals supporting business unit
• Leads the design and implementation of operational policies, objectives, and initiatives
• Evaluates current and proposed operational systems and procedures and implements changes as necessary
• Develops and implements company policies and procedures as well as ensures compliance with these procedures
• Evaluates and enhances current operational systems
• May coordinate communication between different functions
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
• Review processes and improve operational efficiencies
• o Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization

MANGEMENT LEVEL:

• Director - 1: Manages a department or sub-department within a business unit or for entire corporation. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the managed group. Develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Responsible for P&L, revenue, and budgetary goals. Deep knowledge of managed sub-function as well as knowledge of overall departmental function. Typically manages subordinate managers. Requires management experience.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

· Experience:

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
• Typically requires 7 years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor
• Typically requires 3-5 years management experience

· Computer/Technical:

• Advanced knowledge of Office 365 - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Demonstrate ability to learn and understand basic office software applications

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal office environment
• Extending viewing of computer screens
• Some overnight travel may be required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Spends time at a computer workstation and desk.
• Moves throughout department or other locations to access or exchange information.
• May involve carrying loads up to 50 lbs. and being able to remain in a stationary position.
• May involve lowering oneself to file, and reaching, twisting or turning.
• Involves handling office materials, typing, writing and other tasks that require manual dexterity.
• Continuous listening.
• Ability to communicate information.
• This job may require accommodating different bodily movements and physical abilities
