Freelance Senior Mobile Engineer (IOS)

We are looking for an experienced Senior iOS Developer to build high-quality, scalable, and secure iOS applications. You will design application architecture, deliver new features, improve performance, and mentor engineers while working closely with product, design, backend, and Android teams.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in native iOS development and modern Swift-based architecture, and thrives in a fast-paced, product-focused environment with a strong sense of ownership.

About MoneyMore & Mondia:

MoneyMore is the consumer fintech app of Mondia Group. It turns everyday bank transaction messages into a clear, real-time picture of a person's finances, helping users in Egypt spend smarter, budget better, and save more - in both Arabic and English. We are scaling from an early, product-led launch toward a nationwide personal-finance companion, and evolving into a broader fintech and consumer-intelligence platform.

Mondia Group is a digital services and marketplace provider that integrates digital products and experiences into telecom operators, banks, and other large distribution channels. MoneyMore is one of Mondia's key growth bets, built by a small, senior, fast-moving product team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality native iOS applications.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Write clean, testable, and reusable code that follows engineering best practices.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, launch time, and battery consumption.
• Ensure stability through unit testing, UI testing, and code reviews.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and collaborate with backend teams on API design.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Android teams.
• Mentor junior developers and help establish engineering standards.
• Participate in Agile processes and continuous delivery practices.

Requirements

Experience

• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining apps at scale on the App Store
• Experience owning features from design through production release

Languages:

• Swift (strong proficiency)
• Objective-C (working knowledge)
• Familiarity with Kotlin and Android development concepts

• iOS SDK and core Apple frameworks

• Authentication flows
• Error handling and network caching

Performance

• UI rendering performance and main thread hang prevention
• Memory management (ARC, retain cycles, leak detection)
• Launch time and battery optimization
• Profiling and debugging with Instruments

• Unit testing with XCTest and Swift Testing
