We are looking for an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, scalability, security, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps, DevSecOps, and observability. This role requires a combination of deep technical expertise, leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management. The Lead DevOps Engineer will work closely with engineering, security, product, and business teams to drive DevOps strategy, improve platform reliability, optimize cloud costs, and standardize engineering practices. Hands-on technical leader who can design scalable infrastructure while also mentoring engineers and influencing engineering practices across teams. You are comfortable troubleshooting complex production systems, driving automation, improving reliability and security, and communicating technical strategy to both engineering and business stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the design, implementation, and modernization of scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated application deployments.
• Lead containerization and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Drive GitOps practices using tools such as Argo CD, Flux, or similar technologies.
• Implement DevSecOps practices across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and applications.
• Establish security, governance, IAM, secrets management, and compliance best practices.
• Design and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Improve platform availability, scalability, performance, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Lead cloud cost optimization initiatives using FinOps principles.
• Standardize DevOps processes, tools, deployment practices, and engineering standards.
• Define and roll out golden paths, reference architectures, and a shared definition of done that engineers can self-serve against - and own adoption across the squad, not just authorship.
• Evaluate and introduce new DevOps and cloud-native technologies.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, Kubernetes upgrades, patching, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Act as an escalation point for complex production and infrastructure issues.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning for critical outages.
• Mentor DevOps engineers and support their technical and professional development.
• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to define and execute DevOps strategy.
• Explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI-enabled automation and MLOps where applicable.

What We're Looking For:

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related areas.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deep expertise in Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, scalability, and high availability.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps and infrastructure security best practices.
• Strong experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK, or OpenSearch.
• Experience managing production incidents and performing RCA.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Experience with multi-region architectures, disaster recovery, and highly available systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience growing a DevOps or platform team - mentoring engineers, running technical reviews, and measurably raising team capability and autonomy. Experience assessing team and platform maturity and building a prioritized improvement roadmap against it
• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or technically guiding DevOps engineers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MLOps platforms and machine learning deployment workflows.
• Exposure to AI-driven infrastructure or DevOps automation.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.
• Experience managing artifact and package repositories such as Artifactory, Nexus, or similar tools.
• AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or relevant DevOps certifications.
