Program Manager, Platform Strategy & Launch Enablement

Novartis is seeking a Program Manager, Platform Strategy & Launch Enablement to coordinate the technology and data initiatives required to support a select portfolio of high-priority commercial product launches.

This role will serve as a key integrator across business, product, technology, CRM, data, analytics, and platform teams to help ensure launch-critical capabilities are delivered in alignment with business timelines and strategic objectives.

In addition to traditional program management responsibilities, this role will provide platform strategy support by connecting related development efforts across teams, identifying dependencies and opportunities for alignment, and helping ensure investments contribute to a cohesive and scalable commercial technology ecosystem.

The successful candidate will not be responsible for defining business requirements, owning individual product roadmaps, or managing delivery teams. Instead, the role focuses on bringing together the various technology and data efforts required to support successful brand launches while providing leadership with visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management & Delivery Coordination

Lead program management activities across technology and data initiatives supporting designated launch brands.

Maintain integrated plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and key decisions across participating teams.

Coordinate activities across CRM, data, analytics, reporting, and platform workstreams.

Monitor progress against delivery commitments and proactively identify risks to launch timelines.

Facilitate cross-functional planning, status reviews, and readiness discussions.

Platform Strategy & Integration

Develop a comprehensive view of technology and data investments supporting launch objectives.

Connect initiatives across platforms and teams to identify dependencies, overlaps, gaps, and opportunities for synergy.

Help ensure launch-related capabilities align with broader platform strategies and technology roadmaps.

Promote reuse, scalability, and consistency across technology and data solutions whenever possible.

Partner with business and technology leaders to support informed investment and prioritization decisions.

Launch Enablement & Readiness

Track delivery of launch-critical technology and data capabilities.

Coordinate readiness activities across participating teams.

Maintain visibility into capability readiness, deployment plans, and key launch milestones.

Identify and escalate issues that may impact launch support capabilities.

Help ensure technology and data teams are aligned around launch objectives and critical delivery dates.

Governance & Executive Communications

Prepare executive dashboards, status reports, presentations, and leadership updates.

Consolidate workstream updates into a single integrated view of progress and readiness.

Facilitate governance forums and leadership reviews.

Maintain visibility into risks, decisions, dependencies, and action items.

Translate complex technical and operational information into concise business-focused communications.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

5+ years of experience in program management, PMO, business operations, platform operations, or related roles.

Experience coordinating complex technology and data initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to manage integrated plans, milestones, dependencies, and risks.

Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to influence and drive alignment in a matrixed environment.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences organizations.

Experience supporting commercial technology platforms, CRM ecosystems, customer engagement solutions, data platforms, or analytics capabilities.

Experience supporting product launches, launch readiness activities, or launch enablement programs.

Familiarity with CRM, customer data, reporting, analytics, omnichannel engagement, and commercial operations capabilities.

Experience working within Agile or Product Operating Model environments.

What Success Looks Like

Technology and data capabilities required for priority launches are delivered on time and aligned to business needs.

Dependencies and risks are identified early and managed proactively.

Leadership has clear visibility into program status, readiness, and key decisions.

Technology and data investments are coordinated across teams rather than managed in isolation.

Launch teams are supported by scalable, reusable capabilities that strengthen the commercial platform ecosystem.

Critical launches are enabled by well-coordinated technology and data solutions that are ready when the business needs them.
