Head of Sales (m/f/d) - Industrial AI & Automation

As Head of Sales (m/f/d), you are part of our Business Unit Industrial AI & Automation and are responsible for selling complex AI projects in an industrial context. You are an experienced sales professional who is primarily hands-on in sales while also deliberately building the structures that make our team scalable in the long run. You report directly to our COO Florian, making you a key figure in eigenblue's strategic development. Our client base ranges from DAX-listed companies to hidden champions. You identify relevant target companies and qualify new opportunities, which you then translate into tailored AI solutions in direct collaboration with our Project Owners and Engineers. With your strong track record in tech sales, you drive projects in areas such as Applied AI in Systems Engineering, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Humanoids, Mechatronics, Intralogistics, or Autonomous Products.

Your Role

• Strategic Market Insights: You independently analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics with a focus on Industrial Automation, develop a deep understanding of the market, identify the right decision-makers, and strategically position eigenblue as the leading partner for AI-based R&D systems in relevant target segments
• End-to-End Ownership: You own the entire sales cycle, from proactively identifying new opportunities through complex solution-scoping processes to negotiating and closing innovative AI projects
• Trusted Advisor for AI Transformation: You build long-term relationships with decision-makers in Engineering, Innovation, and Digital units, and support them in introducing Applied AI into their development and production landscapes
• Deep-Tech Solution Selling: You focus on the Industrial Automation business unit's portfolio and, together with our engineers, translate complex customer requirements into custom-developed AI systems that are integrated directly into our customers' real products and processes
• Impact-Driven Sales Excellence: You actively drive the strategic evolution of our sales processes and data-driven ways of working within the team, develop go-to-market strategies, and implement initiatives to take AI sales to the next level
• Sales Leadership & Organizational Build-Up: You develop scalable sales processes, playbooks, and best practices, actively help shape the onboarding of new sales colleagues, and take on functional supervision of the growing team. As a direct interface to the COO, you contribute market intelligence and actively help shape go-to-market strategies

Your Profile

• Track record of at least 8 years in B2B tech sales, with proven experience managing complex sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and longer decision-making processes, ideally in a consulting, services, or tech start-up environment
• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field, ideally with a technical or digital focus
• Experience building sales processes, playbooks, and best practices, as well as initial leadership experience
• In-depth understanding of the market and interest in emerging technologies, particularly in the fields of Systems Engineering, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Mechatronics, Intralogistics, or Autonomous Products
• Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to grasp complex technical challenges and derive clear business value for customers
• Strong executive presence, excellent networking skills, outstanding negotiation skills, and business fluency in both German and English
