Department Overview

To encapsulate the strategic role of Bid and Quote for your essay, the key point is that the function serves as the operational backbone and commercial conscience of the sales organization. Its responsibilities-encompassing rigorous Business Forecasting (CORE, COMMITS, LRP), deep Data Analytics, and meticulous Pipeline Management-ensure that sales efforts are not only visible but also strategically aligned with corporate objectives. By managing Pricing and P&L, Bid and Quote actively balances market competitiveness with profitability. Ultimately, the function’s mandate for Collaboration makes it the critical integrator, translating strategic goals into measurable, profitable execution and thereby achieving true operational excellence across the entire commercial lifecycle.

Job Description

• Business analytics of product mix (sales & revenue), pricing & financials trend

• Develop a sustainable/repeatableP&L modeling for new/existing business units

• Drive key improvements on the bid and quote/pricing processes and tools to improve recommendations and decision making cycle time

• Work with cross functional teams to support the implementation of proposed processes that include creating the training/support materials and developing business rules & monitoring their effectiveness.

• May be required to assess competitor price positions & price strategy, draw similarities and differences and make recommendation as needed.

Basic Requirements

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Intern to join our team for a minimum duration of 3 months. In this role, you will analyze business data, automate processes, and present data-driven insights to help drive strategic decisions.

Key Qualifications & Skills

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.

Data & Analytical Skills:

• High analytical capability with strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

• Experience with Google Apps Script programming/automation.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

• Ability to articulate data analytics, thought processes, and insights clearly to stakeholders.

• Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

Bonus Points (Big Plus):

• Practical knowledge in AI applications and programming/scripting.
