Your Opportunity

Due to exciting upcoming projects, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to be part of our Buildings Services team in Melbourne. You will be joining a diverse team of people who are passionate about what they do, with a proven track record of guiding our projects and clients, and leading the delivery across large reputed buildings and infrastructure projects.

You will

• Leading mechanical design packages from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Making independent engineering decisions on complex technical issues and project challenges.
• Reviewing and approving calculations, specifications, schedules, reports and design documentation.
• Representing the business at client, design and construction coordination meetings.
• Coordinating local, interstate and global design resources to deliver efficient project outcomes.
• Undertaking site inspections, construction-phase services and technical issue resolution.
• Providing technical governance and peer review for mechanical engineering deliverables.
• Promoting innovation, sustainability and digital engineering practices in project delivery.

About You

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or demonstrable pathway towards chartership preferred.
• Experience in mechanical building services design within a consulting environment.
• Experience delivering complex projects across sectors such as aviation, health, education, commercial, life sciences or major infrastructure-related buildings.
• Strong understanding of NCC, Australian Standards, energy efficiency requirements, smoke control and ventilation design principles.
• Experience with Revit/BIM-enabled design delivery and mechanical engineering analysis tools.
