Moving Doors is a tech-enabled property management and flexible living company providing fully furnished, design-led apartments for mid- to long-term stays. Operating across Limassol, Paphos and Athens, the company combines hospitality standards with technology and operational excellence to deliver a seamless living experience for guests and property owners.

As we continue to expand, with over 500 units already under management, we are building a structured approach to apartment product design, furnishing, and supply chain standardization.

The Role

We are looking for a Furniture & Furnishing Development Specialist (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) to own the physical products' layer of our apartments, translating design direction into scalable, cost-efficient, and operationally robust furniture and equipment solutions.

This role sits between Design, Procurement, and Operations and is responsible for defining and evolving the furniture and products' catalog used across Moving Doors apartments, working closely with suppliers and manufacturers to deliver scalable, cost-efficient and operationally robust solutions.

The objective is not to design individual apartments, but to create repeatable, high-quality product solutions that can be deployed consistently at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Products & Furniture Development

  • Define and maintain the approved furniture and equipment catalog across apartment categories.
  • Select, adapt, or develop furniture products in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Define specifications including materials, finishes, dimensions, durability, and functionality.
  • Ensure products meet hospitality usage requirements and lifecycle expectations.

Supplier Collaboration & Sourcing

  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to identify suitable products and improvements.
  • Participate in products' selection, sampling, and evaluation.
  • Optimize products for cost, quality, lead time, and scalability.

Standardization & Catalog Management

  • Reduce SKU complexity and introduce structured furnishing packages.
  • Maintain products' documentation and specifications.
  • Ensure alignment between products' catalog, procurement, and warehouse inventory.

Operational Optimization

  • Work with Operations teams to collect feedback on products' performance.
  • Monitor replacement rates and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Improve installation efficiency and reduce furnishing complexity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Design teams to translate concept direction into executable products.
  • Work with Procurement and Logistics to ensure efficient sourcing and stocking.
  • Support Apartment Design teams with clear products' guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure invoices and other payment-related documentations’ accurate submission, and follow up with the payment team to ensure timely processing.

Requirements

  • Background in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
  • Experience working with furniture suppliers or products' manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding of materials, construction methods, and durability requirements.
  • Experience managing products' catalogs or standardized product ranges is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance aesthetics, cost, and operational practicality.
  • Experience in hospitality, residential development, or furnishing at scale is preferred.
  • Valid driving license and personal vehicle, with willingness and ability to travel to suppliers and other locations as required.

What Success Looks Like

  • Reduced furnishing cost per apartment without compromising quality.
  • Improved products' durability and reduced replacement frequency.
  • Faster and more consistent apartment onboarding.
  • Clear, structured furniture catalog supporting multiple markets.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Meal vouchers prepaid card
  • Private health insurance
  • Development Opportunities
  • Travel expenses
  • 4 complimentary nights stay per year in an apartment in Athens active after probation period
