Job Title: Developer - Platform/Product Designation: Web Module Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Developer - Platform/Product to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Mainframe IMS DBA, enabling them to effectively manage and optimize our database systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to the development and enhancement of our platform and product offerings while ensuring high performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions using Mainframe IMS.

Implement database management best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and availability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Monitor and optimize database performance, conducting regular health checks and tuning as necessary.

Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.

Document database architecture, processes, and procedures for future reference.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to database management and development.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong knowledge of Mainframe IMS DBA, including installation, configuration, and administration.

Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization.

Experience with database backup and recovery techniques.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.

Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with other database management systems (DBMS) such as DB2 or Oracle.

Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or C#.

Understanding of cloud-based database solutions and services.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in database management or related technologies are a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
