At MSK, cancer care – from immunotherapy and surgery to integrative medicine – is the only thing we do. Call us at 800-525-2225, visit us online at MSKCC.org, or in person at 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY, or at our other locations in New York City, Long Island, Westchester, and New Jersey.

About Us:

The people of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) are united by a singular mission: ending cancer for life. Our specialized care teams provide personalized, compassionate, expert care to patients of all ages. Informed by basic research done at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate to conduct innovative translational and clinical research that is driving a revolution in our understanding of cancer as a disease and improving the ability to prevent, diagnose, and treat it. MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who go on to pursue our mission at MSK and around the globe.

The Department of Pediatrics of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is recruiting a clinician-investigator and pediatric oncologist with research and clinical expertise in pediatric solid tumors. The candidate will lead efforts in translating laboratory-based research into early phase clinical trials, and clinical care as part of the Rare Tumors Program and Pediatric Translational Medicine Service.

The mission of the Rare Tumors Program is to improve the outcomes of children, adolescents, and young adults with rare pediatric solid tumors, including embryonal tumors of the hepatic and genitourinary systems as well as tumors of epithelial origin more commonly affecting adults. The Program recognizes that pediatric patients with rare tumors have unique needs that are best managed by an integrated team of experts which bridges the bench and bedside.

The Pediatric Translational Medicine Service embodies the Department’s commitment to provide precision medicine to each patient - particularly those with rare tumors. Using state-of-the art methods we lead the initiative to profile the genome of every patient’s tumor, generate preclinical models, perform additional testing to discover vulnerabilities and present cases in multidisciplinary tumor boards to ensure each patient has had all options explored, and can decide which treatment is best for them. Investigator-initiated, consortium, and pharmaceutical sponsored early phase trials that bridge multiple histologies, are biomarker enriched, and feature molecularly targeted agents including small molecules, antibody-drug conjugates and various immunotherapies, are conducted through this service.

The Rare Tumors Program and Pediatric Translational Medicine Service are integrated with other collaborative clinical and research efforts throughout the institution including the Tow Center for Developmental Oncology, the Pediatric Cancer Predisposition Program, the Lisa and Scott Stuart Center for Adolescent and Young Adult Cancers, and the Early Drug Development Service in the Department of Medicine.
