Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for experienced Backend Engineers who have built scalable products and possess strong problem-solving and system design skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in high-scale environments and leverage AI tools to improve engineering productivity and accelerate development.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of overall software engineering experience.
• Candidates from top-tier engineering institutes are preferred.
• Strong backend engineering experience.
• No frontend-focused roles at the beginning of their career.
• Experience working in product-based companies with large-scale systems.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

Candidates should demonstrate strong backend engineering expertise in:

• Designing and developing REST APIs and backend business logic.
• Database design, schema management, and query optimisation.
• Caching, asynchronous processing, background jobs, and scalable backend services.
• System design and distributed systems.
• Ownership of backend services with measurable business or technical impact.
• Experience building or maintaining high-scale systems (include metrics such as RPS, RPM, user base, or data volume wherever possible).

Technical Requirements:

• Strong Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) fundamentals.
• Experience building and maintaining high-scale applications with large user bases.
• Database design, schema management, and query optimisation.
• Experience with high RPS/RPM systems, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Ability to design scalable and reliable backend services.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering velocity.

Tech Stack:

• Primary: Java and Python.
• Nice to have: Ruby on Rails.
