Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and scale backend services powering products used by millions of SMBs.
  • Build high-performance APIs, distributed systems, and data models with a focus on reliability, scalability, and low latency.
  • Optimise databases, system performance, and backend architecture to support high-throughput production workloads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, customer-centric features while leveraging AI-assisted development to ship faster.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of backend software engineering experience.
  • Graduates from top-tier engineering institutes preferred.
  • Candidates should have started their careers as backend engineers. We are not looking for candidates whose early experience was primarily frontend-focused.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python. Prior Ruby on Rails experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Experience building large-scale, high-traffic backend products with a significant user base.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms (DSA).
  • Hands-on experience with database design, query optimisation, distributed systems, concurrency, and high RPS/RPM services.
  • Engineers who effectively use AI development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, etc. ) to improve engineering productivity and accelerate delivery.
