General Manager

Job Summary

Mychoice is looking for an experienced, proactive, and results-driven General Manager to oversee and lead the overall operations of a restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing effective operational systems, organizing business activities, recruiting and managing staff, improving service quality, and implementing strategies to increase revenue and profitability. We are seeking a hands-on leader with strong business and people-management skills who can take ownership of daily operations, identify areas for improvement, build a productive team, and ensure efficient and sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the overall operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient daily business performance.
• Establish and implement operational structures, procedures, policies, and service standards to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Assess staffing needs and lead the recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of employees.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, attract new customers, improve customer retention, and drive business growth.
• Monitor sales, revenue, expenses, inventory, purchasing, and operational costs to improve profitability.
• Ensure excellent customer service and promptly address customer feedback, complaints, and service issues.
• Manage staff scheduling, task allocation, performance evaluation, and team development.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, hygiene, workplace safety, and overall customer experience.
• Identify operational challenges and take initiative to implement effective solutions and improve business performance.
• Coordinate kitchen, restaurant service, and bar operations where applicable to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Monitor business performance and prepare regular reports on sales, staffing, expenses, operational efficiency, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with established procedures, company policies, and applicable health and safety requirements.
• Provide leadership and direction to the team while promoting accountability, teamwork, and a professional working environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in restaurant management, hospitality operations, or food and beverage management, preferably in a management or senior supervisory role.
• Proven ability to oversee overall restaurant operations, establish effective systems, and improve business performance.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership, staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Good understanding of sales growth, inventory management, purchasing, cost control, budgeting, and profitability.
• Ability to develop and implement practical strategies to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to take ownership of responsibilities, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage multiple operational priorities.
• A proactive, hands-on, business-minded, and results-oriented approach to restaurant management.
