Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS and GitHub Actions to automate infrastructure, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and improve the reliability and scalability of our cloud environments. You will work closely with development and database engineering teams to streamline deployments, optimize infrastructure, and ensure secure and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor infrastructure and applications using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development and database teams to support application deployments and infrastructure improvements.
• Implement cloud security best practices, access controls, backup strategies, and disaster recovery processes.
• Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new DevOps tools and best practices to improve automation, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, and Load Balancers.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, CentOS).
• Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, VPN, and Load Balancing.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, Shell, or Go.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and cloud security best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• AWS, DevOps, Kubernetes, or Linux certifications are an added advantage.
• Experience working with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Work Days - Monday to Friday
• General Shift - 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• Work Mode - Work from Office (Puducherry)
• Location Preference: Candidates from Pondicherry or nearby locations are preferred.
