Our client - Europe's largest online car marketplace with 30M+ monthly users across 18 countries - is investing in a next-generation Agentic Software Delivery platform. The goal is to enable autonomous engineering at scale, starting with SDLC automation and expanding further: humans steer, agents deliver.

This is a greenfield environment. A dedicated team will build an end-to-end platform on AWS, integrating with internal systems and delivery processes.

We are looking for a self-drivenLead Engineer

with AI experience who thrives in ambiguity and takes ownership without waiting to be directed. This is a proactive role - you are expected to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive them independently.

Must-Have Requirements:

• 5-7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.

• Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor) and an understanding of how they work underneath: model APIs, tool calling, agent loops, context management.

• Understanding of LLM API and tool-use patterns: function calling, tool orchestration, and the ability to integrate AI models programmatically, not just through existing UIs.

• Ability to evaluate trade-offs between off-the-shelf agentic tools and custom API-based implementations.

• Genuine enthusiasm for and an informed opinion on where agentic tooling is heading.

• Strong full-stack fundamentals; comfortable owning significant pieces end-to-end across frontend and backend.

• Solid experience in any primary backend language (Java, Python, etc.) combined with React or any other modern frontend framework.

• Proactive, self-driven mindset, able to work independently without detailed instructions.

• Strong communication skills in English (C1).

• Comfortable working in greenfield environments with evolving requirements.

Strong Plus:

• Familiarity with AWS AI services; AWS AI Practitioner certification (AIF-C01) is a notable bonus.

• Exposure to cloud-native orchestration patterns and multi-agent system design.

• Ability to effectively communicate, present, and pitch solutions to C-level stakeholders (prior presales or business-facing experience is a strong advantage).

• Experience working with large engineering organizations, including the ability to provide a high-level overview and scale new processes for 500+ engineers.

• Acts as an advocate and coach when rolling out new tooling: explains, demonstrates, and helps others with adoption.

• Enjoys tight feedback loops and proactively seeks input from future users to shape what is being built.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements; makes pragmatic decisions when the path is not fully defined.

• Proactive and self-directed; drives outcomes without waiting for direction, while effectively collaborating with peer engineers to understand domain context.

• Forward-thinking: stays current with the AI and agentic tooling landscape and consistently brings new ideas to the team.
