What is nanogram?
What if TikTok was games instead of videos? That’s Nanogram — a scrollable feed of hypercasual games you play instantly, no downloads, no friction. Type a prompt, get a playable game in seconds, ship it to the feed.
Millions of gameplays a week, tens of thousands of creators, record days stacking on record days. Backed by Drive Capital, LAUNCHub Ventures, and Inovo, with some of the biggest funds in the world now reaching out to us. We’re building the core engineering team in Sofia right now.
You’ll be one of the first backend engineers on the team. What you build in the first six months shapes the product for years.
What you’ll work on:
- Go services on Fiber powering the game feed, user data, and content delivery
- Recommendation and feed ranking systems informed by real behavioral data (view events, retention signals, engagement metrics)
- PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization at scale
- Docker-based deployments on Linux infrastructure
- API design for mobile clients (iOS/Android)
- Data pipelines that turn raw events into actionable signals
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of production Go experience — you’ve shipped and maintained services that handle real traffic
- Strong fundamentals: concurrency, networking, SQL, systems thinking
- Comfort with Linux, Docker, and owning your own deployments
- Solid PostgreSQL experience beyond basic CRUD
- You care about observability — logging, metrics, tracing aren’t afterthoughts
- Bonus: experience with recommendation systems, data pipelines, or anything ML-adjacent
Why Nanogram
- Early-stage with real funding and real users — not a slide deck company
- Tiny team, massive ownership. No layers of middle management between you and impact
- Sofia office — we build together, in person
- Competitive compensation discussed during the process
Process
- Apply through dev.bg
- Online interview — get to know each other, talk through your experience
- In-person technical challenge + interview at our Sofia office
If this sounds like you, we want to meet you this week. Apply below. Bonus points if you send a game you made on Nanogram to @radulofffff.
