Reporting to the Deputy Director, Talent Attraction & Acquisition, the Senior Assistant Director, Talent Attraction & Acquisition will provide senior operational leadership across NTU’s talent acquisition function. The role will oversee hiring delivery, requisition governance, team performance and stakeholder advisory across multiple schools, colleges, departments and corporate functions. It will also lead or support strategic TA transformation initiatives across People, Process and Technology, including AI adoption, recruitment analytics, hiring insights, process improvement and team capability-building, while strengthening leadership bench coverage for the TA function.
Key responsibilities:
TA Leadership, Hiring Delivery and Requisition Governance
Provide senior operational leadership across TA delivery, ensuring active requisitions are prioritized, progressed and governed effectively.
Oversee portfolio delivery standards, team capacity, stakeholder follow-through, and time-to-hire improvement across the TA function.
Manage confidential, senior, complex and business-critical hiring matters with sound judgement, discretion and appropriate governance.
Team Leadership, Coaching and Capability Building
Lead, guide and coach Talent Acquisition team members across different portfolios, experience levels and support needs.
Set clear service expectations, strengthen delivery discipline, and build consistent hiring advisory standards across the team.
Drive capability-building through team training, knowledge sharing, structured reviews, and practical guidance on complex hiring matters.
Strategic Stakeholder Advisory and TA Transformation
Partner senior stakeholders and hiring managers to provide strategic TA advisory, hiring insights and practical recommendations on workforce hiring needs.
Lead or support TA transformation initiatives including AI adoption, recruitment analytics, process improvement, policy review and stakeholder experience enhancement.
Use data, hiring trends, and operational insights to improve TA effectiveness, service quality, and decision-making across NTU.
Leadership Readiness and Succession Support
Strengthen leadership bench coverage for the TA function by supporting broader governance, operational continuity, and succession of readiness.
Requirements:
Degree in any discipline; qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications or related fields would be advantageous.
At least 10 years of progressive talent acquisition or HR experience, with demonstrated experience leading hiring delivery, requisition governance and stakeholder advisory in a complex organization.
Proven experience managing, guiding or coaching Talent Acquisition team members across different portfolios, capability levels and support needs.
Strong understanding of recruitment governance, fair hiring practices, talent acquisition operations, recruitment technologies, analytics and process improvement.
Strong stakeholder management, advisory, communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and hiring stakeholders across NTU.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate hiring data, workforce needs, and operational insights into practical recommendations.
Strategic, resourceful and collaborative people leader with sound judgement, discretion and a continuous improvement mindset.
